Biscuit is HOME!

For those of you who don't know me well, Biscuit is my blue heeler. She has spent the last four weeks at the Canon City Prison for women. She has always been a good dog, but very fearful. We always just thought it had something to do with her bent tail and birth order (she is Jacob's dog Star's puppy). So since we had sent our other two heelers to the program at the prison I decided it would do her a world of good. I can not tell you how hard it was for me to leave her for the four week program. I have had her since the day she was born and she is now four years old. I felt like I was abandoning her. But I also knew that the program would do her a world of good, so I had to suck it up and let her go. Well she came home today and so far so good. She was sooooo happy to see me, I wanted to cry. I feel bad that we are leaving in the morning and can not spend more time with her. Chelsea will be staying with our dogs, so I know she will get lots of love while we are gone. Chelsea has always been the "animal person" like her mom and dad. I could not be leaving her in better hands. I will let you all know how she does in the coming weeks.
