Coming Home

Coming home from Mexico is always bittersweet for Paul and I. We have been home a couple of days now and normally by this time we have jumped back into our routine. But we have not done that yet. We have had a really hard time with this return trip. Don't get me wrong. We love Colorado and two out of our three children live here along with our grandchildren. But I think Mexico is in our blood now. We think of the next return trip and what we need to bring with us (new can opener and plungers!). We look at our photos everyday and talk about how much fun we had on the last trip. We try to get back into the "swing" of household chores and making plans with friends. But this time it is different. I think that we are thinking more and more about the time we can retire and spend more time at Casa Lagarto. Don't know if we can do that yet, but who knows. We are not getting any younger right?
