A Father and Son Road Trip

In just a couple of weeks Paul and Jacob will take off for Mexico again on a road trip. I am not sure how much Jacob likes these three full day of driving trips, but for Paul they are some of the best times. They are taking down a couple of jet skis to our home there and also a small truck to live there. Jacob spends a couple of months there in the summer teaching in the local village. Jacob is a fifth grade teacher and since he is off for the summers he likes to spend them at Casa Lagarto. He also loves the local children and teaches englsih there several times a week. He is really a "rock star" to these kids. He takes his Blue Heeler Star with him and she is just such an awesome dog. She loves to play soccer with the kids and play with them in our pool. Paul loves the alone time he gets to spend with his son during this trip. They have always been close since they were the only "guys" in the house while Jake was growing up. Paul also loves the fact that Jacob is so much like him. Yes he has my eyes (blue) and he is fair like me, but he is his dad. His humor, his way of thinking all comes from Paul. Some of their best memories have been road trips with just the two of them. I think this will be another good one to add to the books!
