The Long Road to San Marcos

Sometimes out of nowhere you find the most amazing things. During the holidays in Mexico our dear friends and neighbors asked us to take a little "adventure" with them. At first I was not real sure if I wanted to venture away from our home. I love it there so much that I hate to leave even for the night. But Lindsay said that the last place we would go is where there was suppose to be "amazing pottery", well she sure knows how to sweeten the pot! I love pottery and she knows that. So early the next morning we threw our overnight bag in the Suburban and off we went. Paul and I and four (count them) four Brits. If everything turned out to be a bust, we figured being in the car with Brits for the next three hours would be worth it.
So off we went on our journey to San Marcos.
Well we did see some interesting stuff, old stuff, mexican stuff, stuff I am not really in to. But the fact that half the time I had no idea what these Brits where saying I only knew I felt like I was in some Monty Python movie. And for me that alone was worth it right! And then we scored, we scored big......We found this Hacienda.
Not only was this place beautiful, the food was amazing and the spa....I think I will have to save that for another post. But just let me tell you that if you ever find yourself on the "Long Road to San Marcos" you will have to stay here. It is worth the drive (even if you don't get to go with the Brits).
